Our core values shape everything we create. They define our vision, our products and our commitment.

We say no to leather, fur, wool, and feathers taking a stand against animal exploitation.

We work closely with artisans and craftsmen, ensuring their work is valued throughout our process.

We prioritize quality over quantity, designing products that won’t be discarded after just one season.

From sourcing to production, we are committed to minimizing waste and upholding ethical practices throughout our supply chain.

Beyond leather: Why Brouillard refuses animal-derived materials

In the world of luxury, animal derived materials like leather, feathers or cashmere have long been seen as symbols of status. But at Brouillard, we believe true luxury doesn’t come at the cost of life.

From the beginning, we made a choice:

No animal leather. No fur. No feathers etc.

We design and produce every piece with plant-based or synthetic alternatives that meet our high standards of aesthetics, durability, and sustainability.

Why?

Because the traditional leather industry is one of the most polluting sectors in fashion, from toxic tanning chemicals to animal cruelty and massive water use. Feathers, down, and exotic skins raise even more ethical and ecological concerns. And cashmere, despite its softness, comes at a high environmental price due to overgrazing and habitat destruction.

Our bags are made from high-performance materials that are strong, light, and designed to last. Many are sourced from recycled fibers. All are tested for durability and refined to look as elegant as any luxury product without harming animals or the planet.

Made by hand: Our commitment to responsible ateliers in Colombia

At Brouillard, evrything begins with people.

Each bag is made in collaboration with local artisans in Colombia. Craftsmen who bring expertise to every stitch, fold, and detail.

We don’t outsource to factories that cut corners. We support and work closely with small, independent workshops that operate with care, intention, and ethical responsibility. Every product is made by hand, one at a time, under fair working conditions. That means no mass production. No rushed quality. Just true craft.

By producing in Colombia, we not only reduce our environmental impact, we support real talent and families behind the product. Our relationship with these ateliers is personal. We listen, adapt, and grow together.

This approach might take longer. But the result is a product with a soul.

We believe not only on how something looks, but how it’s made, who makes it, and why.
